A TWENTIETH-CENTURY OVERVIEW. THE CHIARA E FRANCESCO CARRARO COLLECTION

The catalogue collects the works of Chiara and Francesco Carraro’s collection given on an extended loan to Ca’ Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art in the museum circuit Fondazione Musei Civici in Venice.
Unique works describe the collectionists choices, studies and taste, such as ancient glasswares designed by famous authors – among them Vittorio Zecchin, Carlo Scarpa, Paolo Venini and the Masters Barovier-, paintings and sculptures tracing fundamental moments of the twentieth-century language, from Giorgio Morandi ‘s works to those of Adolfo Wildt, until those, among others, of Gino de Dominicis, and continuing with fine pieces of forniture of the carpenter who works with ebony named Eugenio Quarti.
The book is completed by an rich iconographic appendix, with bibliographical and expository notes related to each work and with historical photographs.
