PIER PAOLO CALZOLARI. MUITOS ESTUDOS PARA UMA CASA DE LIMÃO
In these new works Calzolari seems to counterbalance his traditional stormy, restless and experimental waters with an apparent calm, which in reality hides great tension and personal anxiety. Yet because of the joyful, lively colours, the results emanate a remarkable tenderness and carefree grace. Through this original ‘pictorial’ universe, woven in a candid tissue of gentle and refined gestures and a brilliant, energetic, yet simple series of colours, his previous ‘bronze cry’ has acquired a new wisdom and is transformed into a polychrome Zen chant.
