GOVERNARE IL CASO

Governare il caso. L’opera nel suo farsi dagli anni Sessanta ai giorni nostri is a collective exhibition held at the Pinacoteca Comunale of Città di Castello (28th November 2015 – 5th March 2016), for the Pinacoteca Contemporanea Project. The catalogue of the exhibition document a collective of artists, which are part of different experiences, generations and languages, that are all brought together by the investigation about the “hasard”. Together with the text by the curator that explores the relationship between hasard and matter, the critical essay by Pietro Bellasi examines in depth the determinant aspect of hasard, drawing interdisciplinary relationship with Alberto Burri, Jean Tinguely and the philosophical thinking of Gaston Bachelard.
The volume is completed by the works descriptions that traces the genesis and the interpretation of the authors’ work in a path that alternate sculpture, videos, installations and paintings. The exhibited artists are: Enrico Baj, César Baldaccini, Joseph Beuys, Davide Boriani, Geta Bratescu, Alberto Burri, Vittorio Corsini, Gabriele Dini, Federico Gori, James Harris, Douglas Huebler, Melissa Kretschmer, Adalberto Mecarelli, Aldo Mondino, Daniel Spoerri and Jean Tinguely.
