Sacks, pieces of iron and plastic are materials constantly «traumatized and offended» inside a formal, aesthetic, balanced and calibrate movement. Spirit and matter coincide in their essence and, equally to the «unforgettable» wounds provoked by history, the crevices, the splits and the tears of Alberto Burri’s works indissolubly unite the beauty to the death.

Inside the volume, together with a selected iconographical collection, there also the texts by Aldo Iori and Gianfranco Maraniello to add a critical, philosophical and historical-artistic shade to the interpretation of the burriana opus.
